You need Silverlight in order to use the trial version of WhiteSky Studio. Silverlight is a free plug-in from Microsoft that you can download from here.
You can click here to signup for a fully functional WhiteSky Studio account here. This is completely free and means you can begin using WhiteSky Studio today to design and run a system for your business. If you need more users or data storage you can contact us here to upgrade your account.
When you signup for an account, you can choose a blank account without any fields or business processes configured – this allows you to start creating a system from scratch. Alternatively, you can select a template which will be provided with a small amount of test data. Templates include CRM, Point of Sale, and an example application showing information on the Apollo Space Missions.
We have a videos section which details how to use the system, along with a getting started guide explaining the core concepts of how to build systems. There is also a walkthrough video illustrating how to create and build a system in under 10 minutes.
WhiteSky will send you an e-mail with a 2 page Quick Guide to configuring your system and invite you to contact us to discuss your requirements.

Prize
Why not build an application and enter it for our quarterly innovation prize? It could be for a new business idea, a community project, or to add new skills to your CV, or even for your hobby.
Enter Competition
There are four prize categories:
- The Intern Prize: in 2012 we are looking to provide 4 two month internships each with the prospect of a full time job. Build an application and you are eligible for one of these places.
- The Start-up Business Prize: if you have recently started a new business you can configure a system that meets your requirements and even provide access to your customers. The winners this year will receive free licenses and support for one year and licenses at cost for a further two years.
- The Community Prize: are you involved with a community or charitable organisation and need a computer system to administer or communicate to volunteers? If you win the Community Prize WhiteSky will provide free licenses and support for two years and licenses at cost thereafter. (WhiteSky will always provide licenses to non-profit organisations at a substantial discount).
- The Student Prize: this is open to anyone in full time education and is a great way to gain experience in organising business ideas and designing a computer application. You can add the achievement to your CV and show what you have produced at your next interview. If you win the Student Prize you will receive vouchers for £250 from the shop of your choice.
